Shah Rukh Khan said that the Indian film industry is perfect example of ‘Make in India’ initiative. It takes the Indian culture forward, crossing borders, in its own colorful way.
While speaking at the launch of coffee table book of ASSOCHAM, ‘Digitisation and mobility of media and entertainment’, the 50-year old actor said, “When we talk about ‘Make in India’ we talk about the kind of stuff we do in the country. Somewhere, perhaps selfishly so, I do feel the Indian film industry does stand for something specifically and very beautifully, Make in India.”
The Chennai Express star said, “It does take us across borders, tell people about our culture, talks about our music and somewhere down the line spreads the word for what India stands for, in its own sometimes mad, sometimes colorful and sometimes in a little over the top way.”
Shah Rukh hoped that the Indian film industry cracks international market code by becoming far sighted. “Through our Punjabi films, Hindi films, Bengali films and others, we hope that someday we do crack the code in terms of international viewership,” the Happy New Year star said. Shah Rukh will be next seen in “Dilwale”, opposite Kajol, which is schedule release on 18 December 2015.
