Australia is touring in India and the first T20 took place last night in the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India registered a remarkable total of 208 for the loss of six wickets in their 20 overs. Hardik Pandya (71 not out), KL Rahul (55) and Suryakumar Yadav (46) are the top scorers for the side and they offered a treat for the fans. Nathan Ellis (3/30), Josh Hazlewood (2/39) and Cameron Green (1/46) got the best spells among the Australian bowlers. It is not an easy chase for the Australian batsmen.
The batsmen completed the chase in style with four balls left. Australia scored 211 for the loss of six wickets in 19.2 overs. Cameroon Green (61), Matthew Wade (45 not out) and Steve Smith (35) are the top scorers among the Australian batsmen. Axar Patel (3/17), Umesh Yadav (2/27) and Yuzvendra Chahal (1/42) took the wickets among the Indian bowlers. Australia is now leading the three-match T20 series by 1-0. Cameroon Green was awarded with the Player of the Match award. The second T20 match between India and Australia will take place on Friday in VCA Stadium, Nagpur. The final T20 will take place on Sunday in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
