The BCCI, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and Test captain Rohit Sharma recently met, sparking new revelations that have shaken the Indian cricket community. As the BCCI aims to chart the future course of Indian cricket, the team management was asked to explain the recent poor results, especially in Test cricket. With India facing one of its lowest points in recent Test history, the losses against Australia and New Zealand have raised several questions. According to a report, a member of the Indian team management suggested that the lucrative IPL contracts are one of the factors behind some players' inability to excel in Test cricket. The report states that when the team management was questioned about the reasons for India's recent performances, a member pointed to the massive IPL salaries, indicating that some players are not giving Test cricket the priority it deserves. The BCCI is reportedly implementing a few changes to help the team overcome this slump.

The new rules require players to spend time with their families during tours, but they won't be allowed to use their own transportation to travel during practices and matches. For tours lasting 45 days, players' family members can only stay with them for up to 14 days. However, for shorter tours in foreign countries, players' immediate family members can stay with them for up to a week. The new protocols were discussed in a meeting between Team India's captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Gautam Gambhir, chief selector Ajit Agarkar, and BCCI officials in Mumbai last Saturday.
