Nothing is expected to launch a new smartphone later this year and is said to be a successor to the Nothing Phone 2. In addition to the standard Nothing Phone 3 model, the company is also expected to release Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Plus variants. The UK-based OEM is using Pokémon images to announce its upcoming product, which is expected to be called Nothing Phone 3. Two new Nothing devices have reportedly been listed in the Database of Indian Standards (BIS). These devices are expected to replace the Nothing Phone 2a and Phone 2a Plus devices. An image of Pokemon Arcanine was recently shared by Nothing on X. Although the image contains no description or alt text, there are two reasons to believe this is a teaser for the Nothing Phone 3. Older reports have codenamed the phone “Arcanine,” and recent leaks say the Nothing Phone 3 could launch in the first quarter of 2025.

The leaked details suggest that the phone, called Nothing Phone 3, may use a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a 6.5-inch display. It will also be equipped with a platform that uses artificial intelligence. 91Mobiles has spotted the rumored Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Plus devices with model numbers AO59 and AO59P respectively on the BIS certification website. Although the names are yet to be confirmed, the listing suggests that the rumored smartphone will launch in India soon. It is worth noting that the above model number was first found in the IMEI database. The Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Plus versions support the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and run Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15. The Nothing Phone 3 series will also include the Nothing Phone 3 Plus or Nothing Phone 3 Pro variants. Codenamed “Hisuian,” the phone is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset and a 6.7-inch display.
