Top director Rohit Shetty has been working on back to back films and his last outing Dilwale with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol ended up as a disappointment after which he has been working on the script of his upcoming film. The movie is said to be the remake of 1989 blockbuster Ram Lakhan and Rohit revealed that he has been working on the script from some time.

There were lot of speculations about the cast of the film and many young heroes have been brought into the loop though the makers did not confirm things officially. Now the latest update is that Rohit Shetty found the perfect lead actors for the film. Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will play the lead roles in the movie and they have given their nod for the movie. Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor played the lead roles in the original directed by Subash Ghai.

Shahid Kapoor will essay the role of elder brother Ram and Ranveer will be seen as Lakhan in the movie. The makers are currently in hunt for the suitable female leads in the movie which has been tentatively titled Ram Lakhan. Rohit Shetty along with Subash Ghai will produce the movie.
