The Bollywood market is slowly reopening after the Maharashtra government granted permission to reopen the theatres from October 22nd. Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi is the first biggie that is arriving in Bollywood after the second wave of the pandemic. All eyes are completely focused on the box-office performance of this film as the film decides if the audience are ready to watch movies across the North Indian circuit. On the other side, there has been a tussle between the makers of Sooryavanshi and the multiplexes of the country regarding the revenue sharing.
The makers have been demanding 60 percent revenue share from the multiplexes in the country in the first week. The meetings went on and the issue got resolved last night. The talks were successful last night and the advance sales across the major multiplex chains were opened last night. Trade circles expect that Sooryavanshi will open in the range of Rs 20-25 crores which will be a great number post-pandemic.
Sooryavanshi is releasing in 4000 screens across the globe. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will be seen in extended cameos. Reliance Entertainment, Dharma Productions along Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty are the producers.
