Mexico has been hit by a deadly earthquake of 7.1 magnitude. This is second earthquake that hit Mexico in a span of two weeks. At least 230 people have lost their lives across the region and rescue crews are still continuing to search for survivors.
A private school collapse has led to death of 21 children and four adults. A total of 100 deaths have been reported in the Mexico City. More than 40 buildings have totally collapsed and many others are in a state ready to collapse. Thousands of building in the city are unstable and are left damaged.
Mexico city Mayor reported that 52 people have pulled alive from the rubble and some survivors are still continuing to be saved even after 24 hours of the earthquake.
President Enrique Peña Nieto has visited a small town in the state of Morelos where hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed. President has declared three days of national mourning to honor the earthquake victims.
