Apple announced that it would soon start manufacturing iPhones in India. The tech giant started the manufacture of iPhone 14 in India starting from today in Chennai. These iPhone 14 mobile phones manufactured in India will be sold in domestic and the international markets. iPhone 14 has been launched on September 7th in a global event and the phones are shipped across the globe. iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Plus are announced and are sold currently. iPhone 14 series comes with an improved camera, satellite messaging feature, SOS text message feature in emergencies and powerful sensors. All the manufactured iPhone 14 mobile phones in India will be shipped from Foxconn's Sriperumbudur facility that is located across the outskirts of the city.
Foxconn is named as the world's largest electronics manufacturer on a contract basis and is known for assembling iPhones. iPhones are manufactured in India in 2017 with iPhone SE. Apple said that they are exicted to manufacture iPhone 14 in India. The statement said "We're excited to be manufacturing iPhone 14 in India. The new iPhone 14 lineup introduces groundbreaking new technologies and important safety capabilities". Apple launched its first online store in India in September 2020. India has turned out to be a hot spot for iPhones and their accessories. Over the years, the market for smartphones has increased across the country. Apple is moving about 5 percent of iPhone production to India and this is expected to touch 25 percent by the year 2025.
