Few movies have a story that cannot be limited to 180 minutes,  while a few other movies have several stories that have same characters. Some titles explain the story before the original movie. They are all released at released over the years to come as sequels or prequels. While some movies closely follow the pace of the original parts, some are much farther away from it. Sequels generally fail to reach the expectations of the audience but some exceed the expectations.

This is a list of the movies which had most number of sequels in Hollywood.

1. The James Bond series: (23 titles):

Though the movies all have different premises, telling tales of different incidents, the secret agent, 007, never fails to lift your expectations. Most of the sequels deliver too. Expect more to come.

2. Friday The 13th(12titles)

The horror franchise that manages to scare you regardless of the number of sequels released, Friday the 13th is second in the list of most sequels made.

3. Halloween (10 titles):

 Originally released in 1978, this movie is considered to be one of the scariest movies out there. Straight from the asylum for the insane.

4. Pink Panther (10 titles)

The crime and comedy flick has been enthralling the audience since at least five decades. The first Pink Panther released in 1963 under the direction of Blake Edwards.

5. Star Trek (9 titles):

The Sci-Fi movie is one of the most discussed on the earth by the nerdy geeks. While a few iterations were abysmal few of them out do the first part.

Planet Of The Apes (8 titles released, one due next year)

A movie that transgressed through the decades since 1968, the movie showcases another planet with apes with the intellect that surpasses the humans. Imagine humans being chained and kept prisoners.
