Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar on Wednesday, with the presence of several international leaders. The event, lasting three days, has attracted the participation of 34 partner countries and delegates from over 130 countries. Additionally, the summit will commemorate the "20 years of Vibrant Gujarat as the Summit of Success."

The Vibrant Gujarat Summit was first initiated in 2003 under PM Modi's leadership when he served as the chief minister of the state. The inaugural edition of the summit took place during the Navratri festival and welcomed over 1,000 delegates and dignitaries from 45 countries.

This year's summit, taking place from January 10 to 12, revolves around the theme "Gateway to the Future." Numerous programs have been arranged at various locations in Gandhinagar, including Mahatma Mandir, Sector-17 Exhibition Center, and GIFT City. Today's inaugural event will feature the chief guest, President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with other prominent figures from around the world.

The summit will encompass a range of events, such as seminars and conferences, addressing globally significant topics like industry 4. With the objective of promoting sustainability, the upcoming event will witness the signing of numerous projects and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the government and international corporations, thereby propelling industrial and technological progress in Gujarat.

In an effort to highlight investment opportunities in the North-Eastern regions, the ministry of development of North-Eastern Region intends to utilize this platform. Additionally, the Innovations for Defence Excellence-Defence Innovation Organization (iDEX-DIO) will be present at the Summit, showcasing cutting-edge technologies in unmanned solutions, artificial intelligence, cyber security, and advanced materials.
