Boston Bombing: The Killer's Travel Diary

As the US security agencies and Federal investigators are trying hard to find the root cause of infamous Boston bombings, Unlike the suspicion of authorities , the parents of key suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev said that during his six month visit to Russia he didn't venture into Chechan rebel territories, instead he spent time on reading novels and visiting family members like any other normal guy.

But the latest findings may tell a different story altogether. Both US and Russian intelligence are now looking into suspected Islamic terrorist contacts that Mr Tsarnaev might have made in the war torn Dagestan region of southern Russia. The agencies have found that Tsarnaev  have spent a considerable amount of time in a fundamentalist Salafi mosque in Dagestan’s capital Makhachkala and was in fact in touch with a relative who is a prominent Islamist leader. Reports also indicate that the relative has been taken into custody by Russian authorities few months ago and Tsarnaev was earlier flagged as a potential militant.

Now the million dollar question is , had the intelligence agencies of both the countries been pro-active in their approach in terms of dealing with Tsarnaev whether the tragic incident could have been avoided.
