The union minister Vayalar Ravi-who was deputed by the AICC supremo Sonia Gandhi to look into party affairs in AP-has today met the party president Sonia in Delhi and apparently handed over his consultation report.
When rumours were high in the air over the lack of co-ordination between the chief minister, PCC chief and other party leaders, the Congress high command presumably deputed Vayalar Ravi to hold wide-range consultations over the same and hand over the report.
Vayalar Ravi, who met several leaders, in Hyderabad as well as in Godavari districts, has said asked the leaders to focus on by-polls and take forward the party together.
He has also said that internal disturbances in political parties were common. Vayalar has also termed the allegations of differences between Kiran Kumar Reddy and Bothsa Satynarayana as baseless.
It may be mentioned that Vayalar had seek the opinion of the Congress leaders on not just by-polls issue but reportedly on other burning issues too that are likely to put the party in a fix including Telangana and Jagan issues.
Before leaving for Delhi, Vayalar Ravi has asked the party members to stop targeting Y S Rajashekara Reddy besides making the party strong. (Phani)
