Sonia Gandhi, Congress President, said hitting out at PM Modi that the Modi government has "failed abysmally to match its words with deeds."
The Congress President said that it is "painfully clear that most pledges made by the PM during election campaign were nothing more than 'hawa baazi'."
While addressing a Congress working committee gathering in Delhi, Sonia Gandhi said, "The Prime Minister has been reduced to unedifying flip-flops creating confusion on what he really stands for.”
"The history is being sought to be rewritten with special targeting of Jawaharlal Nehru," she said.
Sonia Gandhi says that Indian economy is looking downwards while prices continue to rise unremittingly. It is better to talk less about promises like job creation and slogans like Make in India. She also blamed the ruling party BJP by saying that the media is being threatened with repressive measures and notices.
Commenting on the relations between Indian and Pakistan, Gandhi said that there is deterioration in the security situation in our neighborhood. Modi Government is taking a coherent policy on Pakistan and seems to unable to make up mind on what to be done. She even lashed out at the ruling party for BJP-RSS meet for three days.
In December, Sonia Gandhi’s term will end. For 17 years, she has been at the helm, while the Congress party seems to hold organizational elections in the coming year.
