Young Congress scion and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi is at the helm of a crucial change and a very, very big responsibility.
A frontrunner for PM's post in this upcoming General Elections 2014 and the face of Congress' election campaign, Rahul is fast gearing up for the big day — the AICC session on January 17 where Rahul Gandhi will acknowledge all achievements and failures of the Congress party in public.
Highly-placed sources confirm that Rahul Gandhi will be presented as the face of the Congress campaign in the event. The young Congressman had accepted the bet, regardless of the apprehended political defeat in 2014.
"Rahul will be projected in the most unambiguous way as the supreme leader of the Congress, taking the baton from his mother Sonia Gandhi," writes Mail Today.
This stand is being seen as Congress' strategy to hold water despite the challenge thrown by one-hit wonder AAP and the BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who has been silently measuring up new strategies after the surprise Delhi results.
