Election fever is slowly creeping into most dominant parties in the state as the by-elections are fast approaching the YSR Congress leader Jagan Mohan Reddy is extensively campaigning in most areas. And many Ministers from the State are campaigning for the Congress. On the other hand BJP and TDP are also trying their best. The Mahabubnagar district is become the center of political activity in the Telangana region. Today the TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu is to launch a road show in the district. BJP not to be left behind will also be addressing many rallies. The floor leader of BJP, Kishan Reddy shall lead the show from the front. On the other side TRS is also pitching his hard campaign to show the solidarity of the people for a separate state.
As per the Election Commission notification, nominations would be accepted till February 29. Scrutiny would be on March 1. Polling would be held on March 18 and counting on March 21. Results are likely to be announced on the same day, as polling would be through Electronic Voting Machines. Elections would be held to Mahabubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Kollapur (Mahabubnagar district), Station Ghanapur (Warangal district), Adilabad and Kama Reddy (Nizamabad district) in Telangana and Kovuru (Nellore district) in Seemandhra.
