The YSR Congress Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had abruptly cancelled his tour to Kovvuru assembly constituency where the by-elections are scheduled shortly. He was to leave in the late hours of Saturday or the early hours of Sunday to address a rally in view of the by-election. The sudden change in schedule created much speculation with rumors that the Central bureau of Investigation or the Enforcement Directorate planned to arrest the YSRC Chief. In fact most media speculated that the move was ultimatum and the arrest was inevitable. Leaders and cadre of the party gathered at the Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, where the YSRC Chief resides. They waited for long hours to have a glimpse of the leader. But nothing untoward occurred on the Sunday.

Sources later revealed that the Mr Jagan had allotted that day to his children and relaxed with them. Due to extensive touring on Odarpu Yatra, since sometime the children were missing him at home. And the sources revealed that the children forced this on the father, who ultimately obliged and cancelled his trip.

But media seems to have reported otherwise, they said that Mr Jagan was seriously contemplating over the arrest on Sunday and the authorities were also planning on the same lines.
