Senior Congress Leader V Hanumath Rao came down as usual on the YSR Congress Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, today in Hyderabad. He said on what basis is the YSRC Chief talking about corruption when he had so many against him. He also asked why the young leader was silent on his own cases and only talks about others involvement. He also posed a query at Jagan, that without clarifying on his cases, how could he end corruption.
The Telugu Desam Party on the other hand also joined and held a press conference to condemn the YSRC over the Corruption free statement. TDP MLAs, B. Gopalakrishna Reddy and D. Narendra Kumar said it was surprising that Jagan, who was facing several charges of corruption and misuse of his father’s office as chief minister could come up with such a statement, ridiculed the country's constitutional bodies.
It may be noted that after winning the Kovvur seat in the by-polls, the YSRC Chief said the Kovur verdict will repeat all over the State and the party will win 35 MP seats in the coming general elections. Profusely thanking the Kovur voters for the mandate, he said. :' I will strive to give a clean and corruption-free government that cares for the common man and will not surrender to the Delhi durbar.
