Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan are teaming up for the first time with Acharya, a social drama that is packed with action and is directed by Koratala Siva. The film is made on a budget of Rs 150 crores and the film is carrying good expectations. Kajal is paired up beside Chiranjeevi but the makers changed their mind. Kajal walked out of the project and her portions are completely chopped off. Pooja Hegde is paired up beside Ram Charan in Acharya. Ram Charan revealed that it was a learning experience working with his dad Chiranjeevi who is his real Acharya in real life.

During the promotions, Ram Charan said "I have grown up learning the discipline and sincerity of my dad. I will be seen in the second half of the film and we shot our portions in Maredumilli forests. We stayed together, and worked together which is one of the best experiences for me. Koratala Siva is a director who has enough clarity and I thank him for the opportunity. Acharya will stand as one of the most memorable experiences in my life" told Charan. Acharya is releasing on April 29th across the globe.
