Varun Tej's recent outing Ghani has been declared as a dud and the film's final theatrical share would be under Rs 3 crores. The actor has been picking up interesting films but not the right directors told his track record. Varun Tej also lost a couple of interesting projects in the recent times because of his strict stand on his remuneration. Varun Tej is quoting Rs 10 crores per film which is making the filmmakers hunt for other options. A top producer who produced a film with Varun Tej recently is not in a mood to work with Varun Tej again because of his strict stand on his remuneration.

Fidaa and Tholi Prema are the only solid solo hits for the actor in his career till date. Films like Kanche and Gaddalakonda Ganesh ended up decent but the makers made no profits. For the quoted remuneration and the box-office numbers for Varun Tej, nothing seems to be balanced. Hence the actor is losing projects. Its high time for the actor to choose the right directors and quote reasonable remuneration before the filmmakers hunt for other options. Varun Tej has his hopes on F3 which also features Venkatesh in the other lead role. The film is hitting the screens on May 27th.
