Megastar Chiranjeevi has been an undisputed king of Telugu cinema and he has been on the top from the past four decades. His re-entry happened with a bang and the veteran actor signed a bunch of films and is juggling between the sets. Chiranjeevi also turned a helping hand during the pandemic break and served the industry workers through CCC. After the AP government slashed down the ticket prices in the state, Tollywood has been struggling and the move turned out to be a dent for the profits of the filmmakers. But most of them stayed calm and never responded. Actors like Pawan Kalyan and Nani spoke against AP government about the issue.
Chiranjeevi has been trying hard to meet AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and explain him about how Tollywood has been suffering due to the low ticket prices. He tried hard but the top actor was never granted appointment for the same. During the distribution of health cards for the film workers, Chiranjeevi turned emotional and made remarks on himself. He said that he would support industry workers financially but he will never resolve any disputes. He also wanted to refrain himself from calling Industry Pedda or Industry Head. Megastar seemed to be hurt badly after he was denied the appointment of YS Jagan after multiple attempts.
Chiranjeevi is also disturbed by the silence from the big stars and filmmakers who are yet to respond about the issue. Tollywood has to come on to a common stand and resolve the issue before further damage happens.
