The 62nd Filmfare Awards for South Indian cinema have been awarded yesterday night in a grand event. The personalities who have contributed proficiently for the field of cinema have been awarded with the prestigious Filmfare awards. Stylish Star Allu Arjun has bagged the Best Actor in the lead role from Telugu for his performance in the movie Race Gurram that released last year. Bunny predicted this before and he was leading the race of nominations that included Nagarjuna (Manam), Mohan Babu (Rowdy) and Sharwanand (Run Raja Run). He has taken the award from in a grand event in the presence of his father Allu Aravind.
Surendar Reddy directed this stylish entertainer and Sruthi Haasan played the female lead in the movie. SS Thaman composed the music and Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) produced the movie on Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner. Mammotty (Varsham) received the Best Actor for Malaylam, Yash (Mr and Mrs Ramchari) for Kannada and Dhanush (VIP) for Tamil. Sruthi Haasan received the Best Actress for Race Gurram and Akkineni’s mutlistarrer Manam grabbed the Best Film award. Mammotty, Kamal Haasan and Radhika have been awarded with Life Time Acheivement Awards for their contribution over the years to South Indian Cinema.
