Google One has officially started rolling out its Lite plan, which offers significantly more storage and costs even less. A Google One subscription primarily offers additional storage space that can be shared between various Google services such as Gmail, Google Photos and Google Drive. All users get 15GB of free storage, but Google One offers expanded storage options of 100GB, 200GB and 2TB, giving users more space to store files and data on offer. And now the company has launched the Google One Lite plan in India that offers users 30GB of cloud storage at a minimal cost. Here are the pricing details and other key features of this new plan that offers an affordable storage solution to users in India. The Google One Lite plan increases the standard free storage from 15GB to 30GB, but there are limitations. Unlike other Google One plans, the Lite tier does not allow storage sharing with up to five other users and also removes the additional features of higher plans, making it the primary storage upgrade option.

The Google One Lite plan also does not include the exclusive AI features of the AI Premium plan. This premium plan offers 2TB cloud storage, advanced Gemini AI features, integration with various Google apps, and Magic Editor for Google Photos, all for Rs 1,950 per month. The plan appears to be rolling out gradually as it is only visible to some users. As with most Google One plans, Google appears to be offering interested parties a free one-month trial. We'll have to wait for Google to confirm when the plan will roll out across the board. The Google One Lite plan costs Rs 59 per month and offers 30GB storage at a significantly lower cost than the existing 100GB plan at Rs 118 per month, effectively taking the Lite plan to the next level at half the price of the plan becomes . Google One Lite, like the other plans, offers a one-month free trial.

An annual subscription can be purchased for Rs 589 per year. According to media reports, some users also noticed that they received special offers in the first month of subscription. The discount offer brings the price down to Rs 15 per month for two months.
