Instagram announced Tuesday that it is launching a new feature called Trial Reels that will make it easier for creators to test new content. This feature was first announced in May this year and released as a beta version. With the introduction of the social media platform, Instagram creators can create test reels and show them to unfollowed users to get feedback and thus gauge interest. In a blog post, Instagram said Trial Reels are a way for creators to try out content outside of their niche, such as new genres, story formats or topics, to see if it resonates with their audience. Only visible to non-followers in the Feed and Reels section. After 24 hours, Instagram provides you with key performance insights including views, likes, comments, and shares in your test loop, and also allows you to share them with your followers.

To create a test loop on Instagram, creators should follow the same steps except for one additional step. Before you can split your loop, you must enable the test switch that appears below the label text box. When you share your Instagram circle, it will appear on your profile next to your drafts. Test rings won't appear on the creator's profile, but followers may still be able to see them if they're shared directly, according to Instagram. It can also appear on a page showing loops with the same sound, filter or location. The platform says it will automatically share test rings with its followers if it performs well in the first 72 hours. However, authors have control over this and can change this setting at any time. According to the social media platform, Trial Reels is rolling out now and will be available worldwide to all eligible creators in the coming weeks. The only requirement is a professional account.
