Apple drops Barbie Plastic Surgery gaming app after Twitter outrage

A Twitter outcry against a children’s game on the iPhone has compelled Apple to revoke the app.

The gaming app, which tells players that liposuction makes people ‘slim and beautiful’, was taken off from Apple's platform last night.

More than 4,000 Twitteratis rallied behind a women’s rights group 'Everyday Sexism' and hailed the app sexist and highly damaging to any women’s pride and esteem.

“The app, which could be downloaded from Apple iTunes, instructs children as young as nine to perform plastic surgery on the image of a woman who has ‘so much extra weight that no diet can help her’,” writes Mail Today.

Apple did not respond to the calls or queries, but quickly dropped the game from its platform last night.
