Google Home is said to be working on a number of new features and updates that could give users new ways to customize and customize the automation of compatible smart home devices. The Mountain View-based tech company is developing a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature called Insights that makes recommendations to users based on app usage and interactions with devices. The company is said to be adding a number of new tools to routine and automated operations. Android Authority reports that the tech giant is working to improve the usability of the Google Home app by adding new devices. These new features were revealed in a teardown of the Google Home 3.29 beta Android application package (APK). There are currently no known or available features for beta testers to try.

The most notable aspect of the development is the AI-driven smart feature, which comes via a new floating action button (FAB) that suggests actions that users can take based on their app usage and interactions with smart home devices. This feature is still under development and if it becomes widespread, it will be the first artificial intelligence feature in the app. The artificial intelligence feature uses information from application data and device sensors for advice and feedback. The release also includes several new tools and techniques, as well as a redesigned automation user interface. The new interface is said to be in line with Android's Material 3 design language and opens up new offering cards for users.
