India gets its taste of the new Sony Tablet

There were rumors abuzz in the nation that the Xperia Tablet Z will make its way to the Indian markets but the makers were not promising the moon. The much famed tablet is finally in India after a long wait. Starting Wednesday, the sales have commenced in the nation for the 16 GB tablet at Rs 46,990.

Though priced on the higher side like much of their devices, this tablet comes with a few cool freebies like a 16 GB memory card to support your media and a cool leather cover to sheath your tablet from ummm we don't know. The tablet is dustproof, waterproof and rust proof, but, hey you get a free leather cover. Sony Xperia Tablet Z offers a bonus six month free subscription to Sony Music service, which offers DRM free downloads from Sony's catalog of international and Indian music.

As expected for the price, the tab supports 3G and Wi-Fi as connectivity options alongside NFC and Bluetooth. The quad-core tablet in the 10.1 inch form factor is surely worth the money for the impeccable display. This is one of the slimmest tablets available in the market today but weighs almost half a kilo.
