Xiaomi has officially announced that both the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be launched in India later this month. This information was disclosed just hours after the 15 series made its debut in select international markets ahead of the 2025 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The standard variant of this series first appeared in China in October of the previous year, alongside the Xiaomi 15 Pro, which remains an exclusive device for the Chinese market. In addition, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was revealed in China on February 28. An update on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, from the official Xiaomi India account confirmed that the launch in India is set for March 11 at 12 PM IST. Accompanying this announcement were visuals of the Ultra model in Silver Chrome and the standard model in Bright Silver.
While it is believed that the Indian version of the Xiaomi 15 will mirror the specifications of the global model, the company has not yet provided official confirmation. The global variant boasts a 6.36-inch 8T LTPO AMOLED display, which supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering configurations of up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The device features a Leica-branded triple camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization, a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. A 32-megapixel front camera is also available for selfies and video calls. The device is supported by a 5,240mAh battery and features 90W wired fast charging along with 50W wireless charging. The Chinese version operates on the HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15.
