Asia Cup 2023 reached the super fours and Sri Lanka played with Pakistan in a strong battle last evening. The match took place in Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first. Pakistan scored 252 for the loss of 7 wickets in their 42 overs. The overs got reduced due to rain. Mohamammad Rizwan (86 not out) was the top scorer for the side and Abdullah Shafique (52), Iftikar Ahmed (47) have been decent with the bat. Matheeesha Pathirana (3/65), Pramod Madushan (2/58) and Dunith Wellalage (1/40) took wickets for Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka completed the chase of 253 in 42 overs in the last ball. Kusal Mendis (91), Charith Asalanka (49 not out) and Sadeera Samarawickrama (48) are the top scorers among the Sri Lankan batsmen. Iftikhar Ahmed (3/50), Shaheen Afridi (2/52) and Shadab Khan (1/55) took the wickets among the Pakistan bowlers. With back-to-back victories, Sri Lanka is on the top and reached the final of Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan is out of the Asia Cup with this loss. Team India will play with Bangladesh today.
