Believed to be one the most influential women today, Oprah Winfrey is a happily 'not' married lady. The media mogul has been in a steady relationship with Stedman Graham since 1986.

The couple were engaged in November 1992, but never got married, as they wanted to have a Spiritual union. Oprah and Stedman have a strong relationship that goes way back to when Oprah still had trouble with her TV network. Her partner stood by her through thick and thin.

A well known philanthropist, Oprah revealed recently that she does not want to get married and change what they have. Things are smooth now, she said, adding that a marriage may ruin everything. Getting married may change things and affect their relationship, she shared during an interview.

After the couple's engagement, they had mutually decided to never hold the ceremony itself. Stedman, a business man and educator, is Oprah's true friend and soulmate.

Oprah had earlier expressed on the 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' that she would never give birth to kids. A long time ago, she had reportedly said that she would never mother a child as she herself had not been mothered well.

The billionaire had an abusive and poor upbringing. She had given birth at the age of 14, but her son died in infancy. Later, she led a promiscuous life due to past trauma before settling with her current life partner. Stedman, however, has a child from an earlier marriage. The story Oprah is both saddening and inspiring.
