The biopic bug doesn't seem to have bitten Bollywood alone!

Two times Oscar nominated British filmmaker Stephen Frears is making a biopic on American cyclist Lance Armstrong now.

Actor Ben Foster has apparently been roped in to play the role of the disgraced cyclist. John Hodge of “Trainspotting” fame has given the story for the celluloid adaptation.

Apparently, the narrative will unfold from the time Armstrong was diagnosed with testicular cancer and will go down to the time he confessed of abusing performance-enhancing drugs to bag victory in Tour de France titles from 1999 to 2005.

The film is slated to go on the floors by this fall.

Two other films — made by Warner Bros. And Paramount Pictures— on the life of the legendary cyclist are underway.

Lance Armstrong has inspired the world in more ways than one can think of. He wasn't just the greatest  living cyclist on the planet, but also posed as an inspiration for many by fighting out of cancer successfully.

Armstrong, who was stripped off all his Tour de France titles following doping charges, confessed in Oprah Winfrey's show to having resorted to drugs to win the titles. He defiantly stated that “it would have been impossible to win the Tour without using those blood-boosting drugs.”

"My name was taken out of the palmares (list of achievements) but the Tour was held between 1999 and 2005 wasn't it? There must be a winner then. Who is he? Nobody came forward to claim my jerseys," Armstrong told a French tabloid last month.
