According to a massive US study it came into exposure that a colonoscopy every 10 years could obstruct 40 percent of colorectal cancers. It was even found to have been supporting the effectiveness of the commonly-used test. Furthermore, the study in the New England Journal of Medicine during Wednesday explained that those accompanying family history of these types of cancer - the second-leading cause of cancer deaths in the US should have more constant screenings.
The results establish the truth regarding the current recommendations for colonoscopies, offering ground for belief it is particularly useful in obstructing cancers that originate in the proximal, otherwise upper, part of the colon. Shuji Ogino who's a lead author from the Havard School of Public Health expressed that their study provides strong ground for belief that colonoscopy is an effective technique for obstructing cancers of both distal and proximal regions of the colorectum.
