As much as women love indulging in sexy stilettos, health experts warn that teetering around on these 6” high footwear can be a bummer for your feet.
A recent study by Compeed, an international foot-care brand, has revealed that nearly fifty percent women wearing heels have either got their heels stuck in grate, lost their footing or have tripped down the stairs.
Another astonishing survey across Europe revealed that high heels added to the daily commuting hours of women by nearly 1hour every month.
But seems, no studies or expert opinion can deter the “heeloholics” from wearing heels, even if it meant bad news for their feet.
Besides boosting confidence, wearing heels to business makes women feel smart and good about themselves.
Commenting on the survey, Alexandra Papa, spokesperson for the Compeed brand, said: “Interestingly, it is not just women that are struggling due to their high heels, women’s life and work balance is also impacted by the high heel commute with 20 percent of London ladies surveyed admitting that their heels have caused them to miss their train.”
A good sixty percent of women have confessed to wearing heels to work and then privately changing into their heels at their desks.
