Recently, teasers for the Vivo V50 have surfaced online, revealing its design and available color choices. The essential specifications, such as the display, camera capabilities, operating system, battery, and charging features, have also been confirmed. Vivo has officially set the launch date for this smartphone in India. Earlier leaks indicated the anticipated features of the device, implying that it is a rebranded version of the Vivo S20, which was originally launched in China in November 2024. The Vivo V50 is set to debut in India on February 17 at 12 pm IST, as announced in a post on X. Both Flipkart and Amazon, along with Vivo's own online store, will sell the phone. Teasers released by the company have indicated that the device will be available in Rose Red, Starry Blue, and Titanium Grey.

Additionally, Vivo has shared that the Vivo V50 will come equipped with various AI functionalities, including Circle to Search, Transcript Assist, and Live Call Translation, along with advanced photo imaging and editing options such as Erase 2.0 and Light Portrait 2.0. The smartphone will feature a quad-curved display and a robust 6,000mAh battery, with confirmation of 90W wired fast charging capabilities. The device is expected to have a slender profile of 7.39mm, making it the thinnest smartphone in its category while housing a 6,000mAh battery. It is also anticipated to meet IP68 and IP69 standards for water and dust resistance.

In terms of photography, the Vivo V50 is set to include a dual rear camera system, consisting of a main 50-megapixel sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, complemented by an Aura Light feature. The front-facing camera will feature a 50-megapixel sensor designed for selfies and video calls. The device will operate on FuntouchOS 15, based on Android 15, and previous leaks hint that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. It is anticipated to offer configurations including 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, along with support for an additional 12GB of virtual RAM expansion.
