Intellectual forum on Separate State of Telangana held in Dallas

An innovative session on Telnagana was held in Dallas, TX on 02/19/2012. Intellectuals from all walks of life such as IT professionals, business people, Doctors, professors organized a meet and greet session with Shri. CH.Vidyasagar Rao former cabinet minister of state from India. Over 70 guests attended the meeting and expressed their views and desire for the separate state of Telangana.
It was an informative session where quality questions were posed to Shri. Vidyasagar Rao and he took time to answer all of them. The meeting was organized by Mr. Pavan Nellutla a native of Warangal, Mr. Raghu Chittimalla a native of Warangal.
The session soon dwelled into various topics ranging from Sakala Janula Samme, to KCR's fasting in 2009, stand on Telangana by various political parties and the soon coming by-elections. Shri. Vidyasagar Rao congratulated all the attendees for showing their strong desire towards the future state of Telangana and expressed that NRI's should do whatever in their capacity to influence the people of Telangana and the political parties.
He later mentioned that UPA has failed in taking up the issue of Telangana although the world is aware that struggle for Telangana is for a genuine cause. He mentioned suicides towards Telangana should stop immediately which was also the desire of Sushma Swaraj and said everyone should work towards the attainment of Telangana. He recalled that it was unfortunate that not many people are aware about the actual independence of Telangana is 17th September 1948 and not most of people think as 15th August 1947. He said this message should be delivered to each and every individual in Telangana and asked NRI's to take the initiative on this.
He quoted famous examples from history such as Renigunta Rami Reddy who shed his life towards the independence struggle. He admitted that the NDA government could not address Telangana issue due to affiliated parties during 1999-2004, although a motion in 2006 was passed by the BJP unanimously in Maharastra to support the cause of separate Telangana. The venue reverberated with Jai Telangana slogans!! and everyone vouched that they will not compromise nothing short of Telangana state!
