Bollywood has been going through a lean patch and none of the recent films ended up as money spinners. The Boycott trend had a huge impact on films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. Even stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar could not save these films. After a series of small and medium budget releases, Bollywood is getting ready with Brahmastra, a massive film that is made on a budget of Rs 500 crores and is in making for more than four years. The film is releasing on September 9th in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam languages in 3D and 2D.
The advance sales of the film are pretty encouraging. The advance bookings are good and the film is expected to open with a bang on September 9th. The tickets are opened in some of the Hyderabad multiplexes and they are fast filling. The prices are hiked for this film. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is a mythological film that has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in the lead roles. Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios invested big on this film. The Telugu pre-release event of Brahmastra took place last night in Hyderabad and NTR attended the event as special guest. Top director SS Rajamouli is presenting the Telugu version of Brahmastra.
