The makers of Bollywood flick Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will hit the theaters on Christmas 2019.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the fantasy adventure franchise is being produced by Karan Johar through his banner, Dharma Productions.

Filmmaker Karan Johar on Tuesday tweeted a poster which read: "'Brahmastra' now releasing on Christmas 2019."

The film will likewise feature Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in crucial roles.

The movie will see Ranbir playing a character with special powers. The team recently completed a shooting schedule in Bulgaria.
