Mohammad Azharuddin happened to be one of the most successful and controversial cricketers in the history of Indian cricket. Now a movie on his life story is being made which has been titled Azhar. Emraan Hashmi took his time to prepare for the film to match Mohammad Azharuddin on screen.
Tony D’Souza directed the movie which has been made on a budget of Rs 40 crores and Azharuddin revealed many interesting and unknown facts about the movie revealed the makers. Nargis Fakhri and Prachi Desai played the female leads in the movie.
Azhar completed all the censor formalities and it has been awarded U/A certificate from the board. The makers had to trim the abusive words (Kutta and Haraamkhor) from the movie as per the instructions from the censor board members. However the kissing episodes of Emraan and Nargis remained safe in the film.
Balaji Motion Pictures and Sony Pictures produced Azhar which has been slated for a massive release across the world on May 13th.
