Young and Talented actor Farhan Akhtar is quite different when it comes to his script selection. He proved his skills as a director, writer and producer after which he started acting. He scored a massive hit with Rock On years back which has been directed by Abhishek Kapoor. Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Koel Punie, Luke Kenny and Nicolette Bird played the lead roles in this 2008 blockbuster and after a gap of almost 8 years, the makers are gearing up with the sequel of the film which has been titled as Rock On 2.

Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Prachi Desai will play their roles in the original and Shraddha Kapoor joined the film’s lead cast. Shujaat Saudagar is making his directorial debut with Rock On 2 and the shoot of the movie is currently going on in Shillong. Rock On series is about a Mumbai based band named Magik who are famous for their fictional rock music. Shankar-Eshaan-Loy are composing the music and the shoot of Rock On 2 will be wrapped up by the end of July. Ritesh Sidwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing the movie on Excel Entertainments banner which will hit the screens on November 11th all over.
