Report from ABP News has said that Pakistani singer Adnan Sami has lied to attain Indian citizenship and claimed that it has complete account of lies, which he wrote in the affidavit submitted seeking Indian citizenship.

Adnan wrote in the application that there is only one criminal case against him concerned with marital issue. According to ABP News report, Adnan has several criminal cases registered against him besides cases like non-payment of dues. Additionally, there is a stringent FEMA act in case against him. All these were not mentioned in the application.

The report said that cases under Section 420, Section 504, Section 323, Section 506, Section 406, Section 498 A and Section 384 have been registered against him. Adnan, who has cases of non-payment of income tax has not even made payments to house maid, former secretary and his security agency.

Based on Adnan’s distinguished contribution to Indian music, the Union home ministry is thinking to grant him Indian citizenship by naturalization.

It is known that He was granted indefinite stay in India in the month of August, after his Pakistani passport was not renewed. Adnan, who was born in London, was born to an Indian Kashmiri mother and Pakistani Pashtun father. Brought up in aristocratic family, Adnan was educated in the US and has a Canadian citizenship.
