He mentioned these points at the internal party meet. The party members alleged that whether it was in the matters pertaining to fee reimbursement or pakka houses or Arogyasri, SCs received these benefits just like others individuals in the state and that the then chief minister didn’t do any favour to them. Woman hurls sandal at Ponnala April 12, 2012 13:24

A woman hurling slipper at IT minister Ponnala Laxmaiah has triggered a new discussion in the state.  The minister who was at Kakatiya University on Wednesday to commemorate Mahatma Jyotibhapule’s birth anniversary missed a slipper shot that the TRS party women wing activist hurled at him.  The slipper that didn’t reached the target fell on the near by crowd. However, it was considered to be an insult to the minister. In fact, she first tried to obstruct Ponnala Laxmaiah but unfortunately she was stopped by the police. Astonishingly, she was dragged by the male cops as female cops were not present over there at that time. When the police were dragging her out of the place, she allegedly removed her sandal and had threw at the minister. She was soon arrested and taken into the custody. Why is it that this woman hurled sandal is still a question? It might be due to his alleged irresponsible attitude towards the burning Telangana issue. Whatever the reason might be, insulting public representatives will not be welcomed by anyone. In fact, hurling slippers has these days become a fashion and also a best way to hit the headlines for wrong reasons. Such incidents happened earlier in the Centre too wherein an individual hurled chappal at the union home minister Chidambaram and another individual slapped Sharad Pawar.
