The President of United States Donald Trump along with the First Lady Melania Trump have arrived in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport and had been warmly welcomed by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. This is said to be the first official visit of the President of the United States to visit India in a bid for strengthening the ties between the two countries of India and the United States.
The President Donald Trump was accompanied by the US First Lady Melania Trump, daughter Ivanka and son- in- law Jared Kushner on the visit.
Vijay Rupani who is the Chief Minister of Gujarat along with other officials was also present at the airport in order to welcome the dignitaries who have paid a visit to India.
The President of the United States was accorded a tri- service guard of honour as he walked the red carpet.
The President Donald Trump has posted on his twitter handle before departing from the United States where in he had written in Hindi saying that they have been excited to come to India and that they are on their way and will be meeting in some time from then.

The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has tweeted re- tweeting to the Hindi tweet by Donald Trump where in he had said Atithi Devo Bhava which means that Guest is equal to God.

Donald Trump is slated in taking part in a road- show in additional to addressing the ‘Namasthe Trump’ event along with PM Narendra Modi in the Motera Stadium.
The Motera Stadium is said to be the world’s largest cricket ground which is said to have a seating capacity of 1.10 lakh people.
There have been grand preparations which were made for the visit of the President of the United States Donald Trump where in several thousands of people are expected to line up the streets of Ahmedabad in order to greet the two leaders during their road show that has been scheduled besides the ‘Namaste Trump’ event.
