Aam Admi Party promised its voters with cheaper water and electricity and lured them to vote for AAP. While campaigning and releasing manifesto of the party, there was no conditions apply clause. But once they are in power there came different clauses so that majority of the people are denied the concessions announced by the AAP government. Now that, the government has decided to hike the water charges by 10%. Chief Minister Aravind Kejriwal and co has also gone back on the promises of small accommodation and went to claim huge banglows, that too in the Lutyen’s banglow zone. So, the transition of AAP leaders from Aam Admi to Khas Admi has happened. Now the same Aam Admi Party has decided that all the people who have voted them to power has to become Khas Admi and pay higher charges for water.
"When they had promised people that they will provide free water, cut down electricity rates, provide free WiFi they should have added a 'conditions apply' to it. Now it is clear how capable they are as water bills earlier used to be less than now," said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Satish Upadhyay.
"It is very sad to see that about a month has passed since they came back to power and again they are going back on their promises. I want to advise Kejriwal since he said he would take advice from me to keep the belief of the people in him intact," said congress leader, Ajay Maken.
"People who are consuming less than 700 litres of water won't have to pay anything but people consuming more than that would have to pay 10 per cent more. People have to learn how to save water," making fool of the people of Delhi, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said.
