If you thought there is no love lost, no love found between the two neighboring nations of India and Pakistan, you couldn't be more wrong.
Even amidst on and off tension at the borders, the two warring nations put forth a stunning display of solidarity by swapping sweets and gifts to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
Deemed as a step to restore normalcy along the LoC after months of violation of the 'truce' by the Pakistani troops, a display of fellowship on Eid Milad-un-Nabi garnered much appreciation.
"A flag meeting was held between the Indian and Pakistan soldiers in the Kargil Sector on Tuesday. The meeting was organized by the Indian side on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (the birthday of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) to extend best wishes and greetings to the Pakistan Army soldiers."
"The meeting was conducted in a cordial manner with pleasantries and gifts being exchanged by the two sides," a Srinagar based defence spokesman said.
Another friendly meeting was held between Indian and Pakistan Army troops and officers deployed at the Kaman Aman Setu in Uri sector of Kashmir valley. So is Pakistan finally intending to hand out an olive branch to India by putting forth a show of unity as this?
