If the current buzz is anything to go by, BJP might make the "big announcement" tomorrow.
Amidst all the tension and divided forces within the party, BJP head Rajnath Singh will announce Narendra Modi as the prime ministerial candidate for 2014 polls.
Post the RSS put its weight behind the Gujarat Chief Minister, BJP top brass have fallen in line and are slowly extending their support in favor of him. Supporting from the front is party president Rajnath Singh, who is putting his arm and leg to ensure a smooth tectonic change within the party.
Despite Advan'is staunch opposition, hectic activity is underway to garner as much consensus as possible. Murli Manohar Joshi has already yielded to the pressure and it's now time for Sushma Swaraj to give in too.
"I want to clarify that nobody in BJP is unhappy and nobody has put any conditions (on declaring Modi as PM candidate)," the party president said this morning when asked about Advani's opposition and whether there was any hitch in declaring Modi as BJP prime ministerial candidate.
Asked when the party's parliamentary board meeting would be convened to take the final call on Modi's projection, he said "it will be conveyed to you whenever it will be announced."
