The Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has arrived at Renigunta airport in Tirupati this morning to take part in the much hyped prajapatham programme in Kadapa and Chittoor districts ahead of by-polls.
It has to be mentioned here that the present tour has gained a lot of momentum since by-polls are round the corner. Notably, Congress is apparently weak in both these districts and political analysts have completely diverted their focus on today’s programme in order to check what all developmental programmes that the chief minister will undertake.
Also, the chief minister will be laying foundation stone for several colonies in Mangapeta village. Earlier, only electoral vows used to be in full swing ahead of elections, but the politicians are now acting smart by undertaking developmental programmes besides enquiring people’s problems.
It has to be mentioned here that late YS Rajashekara Reddy and his son Jagan had strong hold in Kadapa while TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu has strong hold in Chittoor district. The Congress, with its developmental programmes, is reportedly looking forward to cornering YSR Congress as well as TDP. (Phani)
