The Congress MP from Amalapuram, Harsha Kumar-who leveled serious allegations against the former chief minister YS Rajashekara Reddy-has said that the Congress Party will be going ahead by highlighting the party’s developmental programmes besides throwing light on the irregularities by Y S Rajashekara Reddy.
It may be noted that Harsha Kumar apparently kick started target YSR mission when he alleged that YSR was against dalits. He even challenged before the media that he had all evidences to establish his allegations.
Harsha Kumar was soon followed by another couple of leaders who joined the league to spit venom on the late leader. The Congress high command, on the other hand, is reportedly in a dilemma as to what to do with the allegations that have been leveled against YSR.
Political experts, on the other hand, are of the opinion that criticizing the leader who ruled the state for over four years would undoubtedly harm the party with which he was associated till his last breathe. So, it’s obvious that the internal criticism will definitely make people suspect the party. Also, there is a huge fan base to YSR in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. How can Congress go ahead in by-poll campaign by criticizing YSR is a million dollar question. (Phani)
