The politics in AP are turning interesting with each passing day ahead of by-polls to 18 assembly constituencies in the state. Every party is going into public with different issue and the national party BJP seems to be not shifting its focus from the bifurcation issue in the state.
The party has reiterated that Telangana state would come to reality only with BJP. The party national secretary Lakshman stressed on these words in bharosa yatra. It may be recalled that BJP kick-started this yatra to appeal youths in Telangana region not to resort to suicides.
Upset over the statements being made by the leaders of the Congress and TDP, youths in state are allegedly killing themselves, he added.
He predicted NDA’s victory in 2014 and said their government would carve out Telangana state within 100 days of coming to power. He appealed the youths to take up the responsibility of defeating the Congress in 2014 elections.
If NDA’ promise on Telangana will not remain a broken one, why is it that Telangana state was not formed when NDA was in power before 2004? What if the Congress wins in the state and NDA comes to power at the Centre, will NDA still carve out Telangana? Well these questions rightly find place amongst rhetorical political questions pertaining to the state. (Phani)
