The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that is probing Kadapa MP, YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case, is all set to file a petition seeking the CBI court for quashing the bail that was granted to one of the accused in the case—Vijayasai Reddy.
The CBI has tried its best to get the things done last night itself. In fact, it even made an attempt to file house motion petition before the Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice, Madan B. Lokur at his residence in Hyderabad last night so that Vijayasai would be taken into CBI custody swiftly. However, the Chief Justice has denied the house motion petition. Therefore, CBI will today move a petition for quashing bail that was granted on Vijayasai Reddy.
It may be recalled that Vijayasai Reddy was arrested by the CBI in January this year stating that the accused was not cooperating with them in the enquiry besides pressing the key witnesses. After a couple of months, he was granted bail a few days back. Notably, Vijayasai Reddy was the director of Jagan owned Jagati Publications that came into news for all wrong reasons. CBI earlier stated that Vijayasai Reddy acted as an agent to Jagan.(phani)
