The accused in Jagan disproportionate assets case, Vijayasai Reddy has been granted a conditional bail by the CBI court in Nampally of Hyderabad today. It is known that Vijayasai Reddy was arrested by the CBI in January. He was the auditor of the companies owned by YS Jaganmohan Reddy including Jagati Publications.
CBI earlier said that Vijayasai Reddy has cheated on innocent investors who invested in Jagati Publications. It has also stated stated that Vijayasai Reddy played a key role in showing rewards (from those who benefitted by the then government) as investments besides acting as an agent to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. CBI has reported that it has obtained several key documents and evidences in order to prove that Vijayasai Reddy has cheated on innocent investors who invested in Jagati Publications. It has also stated that he was arrested Vijayasai Reddy as he was reluctant to speak before the arrest and in turn he pressed the key witnesses.
Today after hearing the arguments, the court has granted bail to him. The court, however, asked Vijayasai to handover his passport. Meanwhile, CBI filed a memo in the court seeking to postpone bail orders till April 16.(Phani)
