Minister Danam Nagender, who recently took on Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy while backing former chief minister YS Rajashekara Reddy, was handed over key responsibility by the Congress party. He was handed over the responsibility to oversee the party affairs in the Nellore district in the wake of bypolls.
Talking on the burning statehood issue, Danam Nagender has said the division of state or the maintenance of the current status of keeping all regions in tact entirely depends on the Congress party. He has said that he was never invited to any internal meet by the Congress leaders hailing from Telangana region. It is known that Danam Nagender is in support of a unified state. He asked the public to look at him as the minister hailing from Hyderabad.
Danam Nagender recently accused Jagan for damaging the ideas of his father YSR. While most of the leaders who were liked by YSR followed the footsteps of Jagan, Danam and a few others remained to stay in the Congress.(Phani)
